Maria Pimley has been a Chester County resident since 1998 and currently lives in West Chester with her husband and three active boys.  She works part-time as an Optometrist in a local private practice and also spends a few days per week on the teaching staff of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park.  Maria is also an active member of the PTO at her son’s school and volunteers in various capacities at her church. Besides politics, history, and closely following current events, her other interests include anything involving home decorating, antiquing and frequenting garage sales.

The call to become involved in local politics came in 2009 when she was elected to the West Chester Area School Board where she diligently served until 2013.  She became a part of the RWCC in 2012 and has remained active in the group, now acting as treasurer.  Maria truly makes service to her community a priority and looks forward to the opportunity to engage, educate and empower women and fellow citizens through the mission of RWCC.
